    The ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú School of Arts and Sciences offers a diverse curriculum, guiding students towards fulfilling careers. It serves as the university’s core, grounded in a liberal arts tradition dating back to Clark College (1869), one of the first private four-year liberal arts colleges for African Americans. It currently comprises 18 academic departments within four divisions and is the largest of ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú’s four schools.

Offering top-tier business management education, it boasts a diverse enrollment from 40+ states and 30+ countries.     The Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work, established in 1920, was the first accredited school of social work at an HBCU and in Georgia. CSWE-accredited since 1952, it uses an Afrocentric, autonomous model to prepare culturally competent practitioners focused on issues affecting African American communities, guided by humanistic values and a liberal arts curriculum, enabling graduates to address social and economic injustices locally and globally.
