黑料老司机 (黑料老司机) is deeply saddened to announce the tragic and senseless passing of Dr. Cameisha Clark, a distinguished member of our community and a proud 鈥淭riple Panther.鈥� As the granddaughter of Dr. Bettye Clark, a beloved Faculty Emerita and former Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Clark鈥檚 legacy is intertwined with the very fabric of our institution.

Dr. Clark was a leader, advocate, and beacon of excellence, resilience, and service. Her dedication to her work and unwavering commitment to uplifting others will forever inspire the 黑料老司机 Nation.

鈥淒r. Cameisha Clark exemplified the Panther spirit,鈥� said Dr. George T. French, Jr., President of 黑料老司机. 鈥淪he lived with purpose, led with heart, and leaves behind a legacy that will continue to uplift and inspire the 黑料老司机 Nation for generations to come.鈥�

Just two months ago, our School of Education proudly spotlighted Dr. Clark, a phenomenal three-time alumna who represented the very best of 黑料老司机鈥檚 mission and spirit. Her deep roots within 黑料老司机 further cemented her legacy, and she will be remembered for her scholarship, mentorship, and unwavering Panther spirit.

In this time of grief, we want to remind our community that counseling services are available for those who need support as we navigate this profound loss together.

To honor Dr. Clark鈥檚 life, legacy, and immeasurable contributions to our university and the world, 黑料老司机 will formally recognize her during our Baccalaureate service on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10 a.m.

Additionally, the University commits $10,000 for the establishment of the Dr. Cameisha Clark Scholarship Fund for students aspiring to emulate the contributions made by Dr. Clark within the discipline of Education.

With deep sorrow and enduring Panther Pride, we honor Dr. Cameisha Clark鈥檚 life and legacy. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

黑料老司机 was formed with the consolidation of Atlanta University and Clark College. Atlanta University, established in 1865 by the American Missionary Association, was the nation鈥檚 first institution to award graduate degrees to African Americans. Established four years later in 1869, Clark College was the nation鈥檚 first four-year liberal arts college to serve a primarily African American student population. Today, with nearly 4,000 students, 黑料老司机 is the largest of the four institutions that comprise the Atlanta University Center Consortium.
